ahhh to be free in the middle of a thursday ... if only for a second
incase you were wondering, i work at a desk. i work at a really boring, mundane, grey on grey desk. i play with photoshop all day, push pixels around, kern and lead type etc etc -- so on and so forth. today upon arriving at the building that houses my aforementioned desk i noticed that the front tires on my trusty steed were embarrassingly low. so, later on, i quietly snuck away to go to the gas station and fill them up. ever since i was a kid in grade school there has been something about being out in the middle of a week day that makes me feel good. you kind of feel like you're getting away with something. whats more, you feel like everyone you see is getting away with something too and you somehow share this common knowledge that you are both getting away with something and damn 'the man' because, god dammit, we're getting away with it. for some, being out in the middle of a week day is no big thing. some people do it all the time. its an every day occurence. for me, no. the only time, since i was too young for school, that i have been out in the middle of a weekday was: A) summer vacation or B) when i was supposed to be in college and was instead hanging out on alki throwing rocks at seagulls and making obscene sculpures out of sand with my friend djordje from the nordic woods of ugoslavia.

i'm back at my desk now.

listen to this. its that unkle song i rambled about before. i have listened to it some more and decided that its that catchy song on the cd that you like at first, then after numerous listenings decide that its the song on the cd that EVERYONE likes and that, in fact, it is wack. it's wack because they made it that way on purpose. you cant fool me you filthy swine.
