it's september 11th
all i want today is 1) to stop being sick and 2) to not hear one freaking word about "the tragedy of september 11th." theres nothing worse than when this country pretends to care. face it folks, most of you dont, so stop faking it. i'm going to be perfectly honest and say that i, josh payton, do not care about september 11th. a year ago a really terrible and tragic thing happened and a lot of innocent people were victimized, but there is absolutely no reason for everyone to get together and have this huge nation wide circle jerk around the american flag because of it. somehow people in this country equate big, bombastic, gaudy and overblown displays of remorse with respect. there is nothing respectful about the way the media and people in general make such a spectacle out of something that we all should have taken as a sobering reminder of how america is viewed by the rest of the world and why. i bet next year there is going to be a whole line of september 11th cards ... but gift giving will be optional. if you ask me, its a lot shittier to pretend to care when you really dont then to just suck it up and admit that today is just another wednesday. i'm moving to holland.

p.s. fuck osama bin laden ... and fuck george w bush too.
