let's talk about the book i just finished reading:

1984
word, if you haven't read this book, you should.

There were a bunch of passages i wanted to pull out of it and transcribe here because they're so great, but there are a metric assload of them and i dont really feel like going back and fishing through the whole book for them at this point.

so here's the one everybody knows:
"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever."

such a great book. while you're reading that, why not seek out this movie. I love Terry Gilliam. The Life of Brian is being re-released in theaters too. STOKED! "Wahlease Wogah!"

P.S. The Nation is running a great series called "How to Get Out of Iraq." It's a bunch of essays by people including Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky and stuff. Rad. Howard Zinn is the man.
