The Church of Skatan
This weekend I bought a new skateboard. I've been thinking for a long time that the perfect addition to my bus riding adventures would be a skateboard. I was right. I even bought myself a new pair of
etnies that I can feel no guilt about completely ruining. (Sidenote: I do not understand why they make skate shoes 500 feet thick with padding now. It's retarded. I don't like walking around with what feel like pillows on my feet. Maybe I should go buy some
Simples. those were always kick ass shoes.)
skateboarding is not like riding a bike. you get sucky when you dont do it for a long time. I havent skated in literally years, and it shows. I suck. I can't even hardly Ollie over a curb without fear of falling on my ass. Balance goes away, apparently. Oh well, I'll be doing 360 heel flips down flights of stairs in no time. Sean O'leary, it's time to move back from Korea now.
... And Nate Scott, not that you read this blog anymore, it's time for us to start skateboarding all the time again. seriously. I've even started a pseudo-skate-punk band. i rule shit.
p.s. Shop at
Trickwood in Kirkland (more like Jerkland). I bought a complete there and it was wicked cheap ... plus Kc knows the dudes who own the place.
