That's right folks. Five dollar DVD's. All the new releases. You name it, I got it. Play before you pay.
The subway just keeps getting better and better. Last night I was riding the subway when these two guys with a duffle bag full of bootlegged DVD's got on. The one guy stood there with the bag in one hand and a portable DVD player in the other. The other guy immediately busted into the most well rehearsed sales pitch I've ever heard; "Alright, listen up folks. I've got 5 dollar DVD's. All the new releases. Million Dollar Baby, Hitch, The Aviator, Hide and Seek, Are we There Yet and much, much more. These DVD's are CRYSTAL CLEAR, and best of all, we've brought along a portable DVD player so you can play before you pay. That's right, only 5 dollars. Do you know what 5 dollars gets you in a theater? A small popcorn with no butter. It wont even get you through the door. If you shop with me, the whole family gets to enjoy the movie. (Lists a whole bunch of other movies that are still in the theater and not even close to being on DVD yet.) I've got it all folks. If I don't have it, I'll get it ... I know where they park the truck!

Then he repeated the whole shpeil in spanish. As soon as the train stopped he goes, "Aight guys, bail, turn around."

When he was at the "You name it, I got it" part of the speech I was really tempted to shout, "SNOW DOGS!" but I thought better of it, as it was rush hour and at least 20 people in that train car looked far less entertained by this dude than I was.

whatever. Pizza and bagels. hooray for pizza and bagels. The only thing that sucks about this place is that Taco Bell is really hard to find. The closest one to my new house is like 2 miles away. Lame. 7 layer burritos are the food of the gods.
