life is a strange thing
it's weird how these last couple of months have evolved so far. everything looking up, everything going to shit, some things going really good while others are crashing and burning. i don't get it. i'm sure that someday i am going to look back at right now and be like "that was an exciting time" but as of this second i don't really know what to make of it. in just the last few days a series of independent and seemingly insignificant events have all come together in such a way that my entire outlook has sort of jumped up and moved over like 15 spaces. i sort of feel like slim pickens riding the bomb at the end of dr. strangelove ... if that makes any sense.

billy joel is pretty good. i'm man enough to admit that. hahaha.

i just saw the 1968 version of the thomas crown affair (the one with steve mcqueen). first of all, steve mcqueen is the freaking man. second, if you saw the pierce brosnan version of that movie, do yourself a favor and rent the real version that doesn't righteously suck. it's a good freaking movie. cinematography, soundtrack, everything. plus it has steve mcqueen strolling around and just generally being a badass. not the toughguy kind, the steve mcqueen kind.
