I wish the earth was flat like the old days
the new death cab for cutie record,
transatlanticism, doesn't come out until october 7th, but i have it, and let me tell you, it's one of the best records that will come out this year. its a little different from 'we have the facts and we're voting yes', but it's great all the same. sure, i think there are a couple spots where its weak, but 'we have the facts' was the same way as far as i'm concerned, so maybe others wont feel the same. it's still way bitter sweet just like one would expect and it's just one more piece of evidence supporting my theory that ben gibbard is the midas of music. perhaps i'll roll him up in a carpet, take him out to a run down motel on the outskirts of town, reprogram him, convince him to play in my band and, thereby, complete my all new million dollar plan. it makes me wonder what kind of world we live in when bands like this are driving around the country in vans and fred durst is a multi-millionaire. who knows though, maybe god will smile on us all and that retard floridian will fall into a grain elevator, be torn apart and all will be right with the world. here's to slippery grain elevators and detours on the limp bizkit tour.
linkin park blows too. if you listen to that crap, you're blowing it. you're probably also fat and shop at hot topic though, so you're probably so far gone that theres certainly no saving you now.
and compare the new mars volta record to pink floyd all you want, justified or not, but pink floyd still writes a better guitar riff.
