i bought one of these
best purchase in a long long time.
my life is boring. i have no rants to rant about.
i ate mexican food today. it was tasty. mexican food is good. did i mention that once upon a time in mexico is a wretched festering pile of crap? it is. worst 90 minutes of movie ever committed to film ... actually it might have been longer than that.
alternately, lost in translation is one of the best movies to come out in like 5 years. that movie is amazing. bill murray better win an oscar because the man is a freaking savant.
did death cab for cutie move to LA? survey says!?
last weekend i had a few coctails ... 11 ... and went on a trip to southcenter mall with lauren. it was ... interesting. while riding in the back seat of my own car, i ran across a postcard that i had originally bought for my mom while i was in yosemite, but then never sent because i found a better one made of wood. i wrote a note to lauren on the back of it, in the most scrawled chicken scratch, drunken handwriting ever. it read something like "dear lauren. you're a peach. thank you for driving me and my drunken girlfriend around. someday i will make the sweet love to you". i just found said postcard in my car on thursday night and realized i HAD to put a stamp on it and put it in the mail. i think i'm going to write drunken postcards to all my friends from now on. who
wouldnt want to get a weird random postcard in the mail with a bunch of drunken handwriting on the back? i know i'd be stoked if that came to me.
i'm starting a cover band called milwaukee. if you play drums and are interested you should email me. we're going to practice like once a month just so we can play shows. this is the best idea ever. here is the beginnings of my list of songs the band will cover:
Back in the Saddle Again: Aerosmith
Fat Bottomed Girls: Queen
Got Me Under Pressure: ZZ Top
Fortunate Son: Creedence Clearwater Revival
Under My Thumb: The Rolling Stones
Blame it on Cain: Elvis Costello
Run to the Hills: Iron Maiden
Shoot to Thrill: AC/DC (though ANYTHING by AC/DC is good)
... suggestions?
this needs to happen.
