Ronald Reagan to Farm: "I'm here to buy you!"
since my whole saturday was ruined because of this, i feel i should mention it. It really pisses me off that there's all this "what a great president" congratulatory crap on television right now. Ronald Reagan was a shit bag. His administration was condemned by the UN Security council and the International Criminal Court for conducting a terrorist war on Nicaragua ... no shit. He also invented a wonderful thing called Reaganomics where the country runs huge national debts, workers lose their jobs and get paid less while rich people make out like bandits.

... right, and perestroika, glasnost and decades of fincial hardships had nothing to do with it. of course. it must have been that "mr gorbachev, tear down this wall" speech.

Bush 1 and Clinton were bastards too ... don't get me wrong. Maybe they'll die soon so I can talk about how they tricked Iraq into becoming our punching bag and imposed unfair trade agreements on "developing" countries that cripple their economies and leave their populations with no other choice but low wage labor because we're the only game in town.
