Kc Alcock is a champion. Today she took a page out of the Johnny Paycheck handbook and told her boss, "Take this job and shove it." That's right. She is my new hero. No two week notice, no helping to find a replacement, nothing. It was a "Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, fuck you ... and I'm out." kinda thing.

So if you are familiar with Media-Inc magazine, please tell everyone you know that they are the most unethical bunch of shit eating cunts ever to grace the face of the planet. Jim Baker, the owner of the magazine, prints a salary guide every year (not unlike this one) that lists how much designers in the industry should make. A person with Kc's job should, according to Jim's own list, be making somewhere between 30 and 38 grand a year, should get benefits and should get paid vacation. Kc, of course, got none of that. She was paid minimum wage, kept as a part-time employee even though she was working full time hours consistently, given absolutely no benefits and ZERO paid vacation ... for over a year ... forget any crazy ideas you might have about bonuses or any other kinds of perks normal jobs have. She asked for reviews, pay raises, to be recognized as a full time employee, to get SOME kind of benefits etc etc. She got none of that. Her wonderful boss, John Rusnak, being the spineless pussy that he is, shares some of the blame because he never stood up for any of the employees he is in charge of ... Even when Jim was using company money to buy things like leather couches for his office, so he would have a nice place for the full time employees to sit when he told them their benefits were being cut and that they were going to have to pay more out of their own pocket for them. If you are someone, or know someone who does business with this magazine, I would highly recommend you urge them to stop. The people at the helm of this magazine are SHITTY.

there are some other unsubstantiated rumors I've heard that are nothing less than disgusting, but you're going to have to use your imagination if you want that dirt.
