urgent message to josh: that amp is modded. in its current state, it is like a 70s marshall with a master volume added. you can get a pretty raw, crisp british-rock sound out of it. if you want more dirt, i suggest the mxr distortion+. or, use the modded channel. for that you will need to obtain a footswitch. the one for your 51shitty should work, just plug it into the bottom left input. or perhaps it's bottom right. guitar is plugged in directly above or below the footswitch. preamp volume is the far right stock knob for the mod channel, the ugly brown knob for the original channel.

as it is now, the mod is such that the dirty channel is way quieter than the stock channel. i have no clue why. it's a bitch if you want to switch back and forth, you have to find the 'just right' volume and then never move the master volume knob.

i don't use the dirty channel anymore, i got used to the cleaner, classic rock sound of the stock channel. it will take a lot of getting used to after playing with tons of peavey distortion. you will be glad you did though.

as posted on nwhardcore.com/board, i found a candy bar called "CRUNKY" here in andong. for canadian skaters, "crunk" is the first shit of the day. for hiphop fans and people who read VICE, "crunky" is that deep south hiphop a la whatshisname with the bandaid, that white guy, and a vast pantheon of other people that hiphop fans won't remember next week. but yeah, CRUNKY.
