Life is good. E.
So the other day I made the trek down to Tacoma to see Against Me! It was a great show. Against Me! is one of the best bands there is. And what a great live show too. At one point during the show some kid who had to be no older than 14 climbed up on the stage and took over the microphone. It was awesome. You could tell the kid was way stoked too. Super good times. I haven't been to a show that I actually enjoyed that much in a long time.

A few other things happened at this show as well. I ran into a guy I know from college, Justin Gohe (I don't know how to spell his name). He was piss drunk. And, as always, he was hilarious. In college he used to tell stories of his crust punk days all the time, the best of which being the one where he would explain that spray paint is the best haircare product for guys with mohawks. "You get both color AND hold!" Plus the color selection is much greater and you only have to do your hair one time ... ever. I'll still pass, thanks.

(Fair Warning: This is all stupid self congratulatory information)

Omerta
The big news from this show, however, came from a discussion I had with everyones favorite Tacoman; Ben Verellen. It turns out, he lives 3 blocks away from me now and he wants to help me and Tim write and record a full length Omerta record. This is still somewhat tentative though, and definately wont happen for a couple months since These Arms Are Snakes will be on tour until December. So ... from today until December, I'll be in my bedroom writing guitar parts. Leave me alone. I'm pretty sure I've sufficiently convinced ex-Champion drummer, all around good dude and golden piped singer, Todd Preboski, to bring the vocal fury too. So after 300 member changes and 2 and a half years of no progres, it looks like we might get together and record an album in the course of a few weeks. Awesome. We'll still never tour and probably wont play shows. We're like the Hot Snakes before they wised up and started touring. Maybe we'll get signed to Interscope and they'll give us a million dollars. We'll see.

Abraham Lincoln Killing Machine
This thing is going super well. We've got 7 songs finished and tight. We've got another 2 or 3 to work out and then we've got some vocals to write. We'll be ready to start playing shows in less than a month. Our first one will be in someones living room ... hopefully.

90/95
The 90/95 comp has turned into a double cd. I had to edit the main comp down from like 42 songs or something, so I made a B-Sides record too. It's just another comp of all the songs I didn't use. It's not as good as the first mix, but I wanted to make it anyway just as a sort of documentary thing. I think I'll put these up so people can download them off my blog. The covers are pretty awesome too. Word.

I'm going out to lunch. peacers greasers.

Oh yeah ... I got a bonus and a raise yesterday. And some of my stock options vested. I rule at life.
