The Forest for the Trees
I was just sitting here reading the (bad) news with that expression rolling around in my head--after finding the AMAZING cultural literacy dictionary--and something occurred to me. Why the hell didn't John Kerry ever say, "End This War"? I don't think I heard him say that once. Why? It's so obvious. It's SO AMAZINGLY OBVIOUS. "I voted for the war, it turned out to be bullshit, end it." Weird. Instead we got, "I would have invaded Iraq completely differently!"

So anyway, yeah, Iraq. It sucks a lot. It's weird how I now find myself rooting for George Bush to pull this all off just to ensure that I don't evenutally end up living in a tin shack and stealing shoes from the emaciated bodies of the dead because "Great Leader" is off fighting evil-doers in the land of black gold. Hooray America.
