I'm wicked addicted to Google maps
I discovered Google maps a while back and it immediately replaced mapquest as my go-to address and direction finding source. Today I became amazed by another feature of it. The sattelite photos.

I've always known New York was dense, but I never fully realized HOW dense. Moving here has made me more claustraphobic than I ever thought I'd be. I just discovered a very weird progression. Check it out.

The house where I did most of my growing up. (the house pointed to on this map is actually not the right one. Mine is like 3 houses up ... Directly across the street from the corner house before the cul-del-sac. [I dont even remember the last time I said that word])

The last apartment where I lived in Seattle.

The place I live now.

Population density is amazing. Looking at this has completely made me realize that, if you live in the suburbs, you don't have SHIT to worry about as far as terrorism goes. You could fire a missile at the house I grew up in and you'd probably kill 40 people. You could throw a hand grenade down the street where I live now and kill 100. That's nuts. Not that I ever want to live in the suburbs again ... Well ... Maybe if it was a really COOL suburb where I could have massive raging house parties with Slayer playing in the front yard. That would defintely not be allowed in Kent Washington. Our neighbor was a total bitch back then. I'm willing to bet she still lives there. She was a real go-nowhere shrew. Oh well.
