buck fush
I saw a picture of a protester standing around with that written on a sign yesterday. Yeah ... that's all.

Did you know Bobby Fischer got run out of Japan and is now a citizen of Iceland? (Bobby Fischer is the legendary US chess genius) The whole ordeal that he's involved in is pretty silly. He's like some big international criminal because he went to some god forsaken eastern european country and won a chess match. Obviously he's a threat to national security. Expect the US to invade Iceland forthwith.

This Terri Schiavo thing just wont go away. If you think it's as ridiculous as I do, read this article to get all pissed, then read this one to feel like a total asshole.

Here's my new and improved take on this situation: It's not about "right to die" so much as it's about whether or not the US government is expected to foot the bill to keep a severely brain damaged, completely dependant and unlikely to recover woman alive. That's it. If her deadbeat parents want to keep their stuffed animal of a daughter alive, maybe they should pick up the bill. Doesn't that sound perfectly reasonable? Would this be such a huge scandal if they had just done that in the first place? No. This thing is ridiculous.

Husband: Divorce brain dead wife. Parents: Keep her on life support or don't. Don't ask me (read: Medicaid) to pay for it.

Don't I sound like Republican saying all of this? Weird huh. Especially since the Republicans are so busy grandstanding about some mythic "culture of life" when literally millions of poor sick people can't even go to the doctor. Shut up.
