Oil costs almost $45 a barrel, but gas is still $1.97
Why isn't gas more expensive than that? I have no clue. The effect of the cost of oil on the price of gas makes no sense to me. People were crapping themselves 3 months ago when oil was $41 a barrel and gas was $2.50 a gallon. What the deal is now, I don't know. Whatever. Someone explain this.
